Why you should consider visiting nearby Avebury Stone Circle instead of Stonehenge...

on your UK vacation

1. you can actually  get up close to them, even touch the stones and really feeling the history.

(unlike Stonehenge)

2. You can choose to stay in the village and wake up to the stones.  There are some Airbnbs and guest houses right next to them

(unlike Stonehenge)

3. it's a much less crowded site to visit.  That is, unless you count the sheep that roam freely!

(unlike Stonehenge)

4. You can spend all day at Avebury exploring the stones, the museum and walking in the countryside.  You'll not feel rushed

(unlike Stonehenge)
